Eliminating hazardous chemicals from global supply chains
When materials contain harmful chemicals or metals, it makes it nearly impossible to safely reuse or recycle them. This session will present initiatives such as the Global Environment Facility’s Integrated Program (IP) on eliminating hazardous chemicals from supply chains to promote circular economy strategies. It will also emphasise the importance of global collaborations between policymakers, industry leaders, financial mechanisms and international organisations by giving examples of successful transitions to safer alternatives and circular practices from different regions.
